ING: takes 17.6% stake in Van Lanschot Kempen
(CercleFinance.com) - ING has announced that it has reached an agreement with Reggeborgh Groep to acquire a 17.
6% stake in Van Lanschot Kempen.
It is a specialist asset manager serving private, institutional and investment banking clients, operating mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium.
With an existing stake of 2.7%, ING will hold a 20.3% stake in Van Lanschot Kempen after completion of the transaction.
The transaction is expected to have a minimal impact on ING's CET1 ratio.
The acquisition of this stake represents an attractive financial opportunity and, with this transaction, we are implementing our goal of strengthening our position in private banking and wealth management, ING management said.
We view this transaction as a long-term financial investment and support Van Lanschot Kempen's management, recognizing the significant progress made in executing its strategy.
